RTU is one of the first to offer Astronomy programs in the Philippines. Some of the noteworthy accomplishments of RTU students are that the sports team, Blue Thunders, won the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association Over-All Championship several times and another competition as the 2009 Overall Champion in 13th UniGames in Iloilo.
Baliuag University is a private co-ed institution with 10,000 students currently enrolled. This university offers courses with Level III course accreditations and the school was granted the Autonomous status, which gives them the autonomy to implement and provide their own and new programs. Silliman is a private co-ed university affiliated with the United Church of Christ in the Philippines. Silliman offers world-class education and its legacy remains today. The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools awarded Silliman’s programs with Level IV accreditation. In 2002, the National Historical Institute granted SU the distinction of National Landmark. The United States Agency for International Development announced that SU is also considered a Center of Excellence in Coastal Resource Management.
