All Of Us Are Stressedt: How To Make Distance Learning Easier

Mar 01, 2022

After two years in an online learning setup, I feel like I need to pat myself on the back for doing a good job because suddenly changing routines in a span of a few months is not easy. It’s as if life was on remix from the way we had to juggle our academics, extracurriculars, and mental health. We all had to change how we did things and figure out a way to adapt in a short amount of time. And that took so much energy in between everything else happening in our lives that just after a semester, we found ourselves stressed and burnt out.

Another year means another school year—this might make you feel uneasy and make you sigh, “No, not again!”  But, don’t worry! Edukasyon is here to help you get through another semester of this online setup! Ready to level up your game? We’re about to make distance learning a whole lot easier!

Student’s Quick Guide to Improving Remote Learning Experience

Of course, we need to start with the basics to condition ourselves! There are many inspiring YouTube and Tiktok videos showing how people go about their productive days. They make us want to be as productive as they are, despite the limitations and challenges of distance learning. But, that motivation quickly fades when we don’t know where to begin. So, it’s always helpful to get some inspo!

This blog shares some of the best ways to get yourself all-in for the semester. And once you’re all set up, the next step: consistency. When you find yourself drifting and swaying off, just take a deep breath and refer to these tips to get yourself back on track!

The Best Online Education Platforms For Filipinos

What comes with self-paced online learning is that you’ll have to self-study most of the time. And it can have its pros such as flexible schedules. But, an underlying con is how hard it can be to find proper resources that can help us understand our lessons in the best way possible.

Worry not! Because with this blog, you’ll learn all about educational platforms that offer a wide range of courses and high-quality learning materials on various topics. Not only that, but they also have exercises and activities you can do to help you figure out how well you understand and learn things. I mean, look at me, I finished a course on Coursera faster than I drank my coffee—talk about major efficiency and time-saver!

In general, these educational platforms just make learning a lot more simple, right? Now, it’s time for you to get to your study space and sign up for an online course by following these easy-peasy steps listed in the blog!

5 essential apps to make online learning easier

Most people would say that our generation is very tech-savvy. Every day, we check our phones, browse our tablets, or work on our laptops. But, when most of what we do is done online, it can be distracting and overwhelming at times. So, what can you do to make it easier? We suggest using some of the must-have productivity apps that can be found here. They can help you with your daily to-do list—from organizing tasks, planning your schedule, brainstorming ideas, reviewing lessons, to even taking a break! Hot Tip: I know our generation always tries to get everything done in a day, but always remember to breathe and stretch in between tasks or else you’ll wind up with body aches!

So, what’s so good about these apps? Well, they’re all free to download! You could even take advantage of the wonders of the internet by exploring some handy google extensions and easily installing them in Chrome!

5 Podcasts That Helped Me Through My Mental Health Struggles

The unexpected forced isolation in 2020 took a toll on our mental health. That year, I remember barely having the energy to get out of bed and speak to my family. I constantly felt exhausted because of all the sleepless nights I had capturing flashbacks of my unwanted memories and realizing how stuck I was in life.

The uncertainty of times and our lack of choices made us doubt our abilities, future plans, and even social relationships. And I’m sure that until now, many of us are still fighting personal battles. With that, I hope this list of MH-friendly podcasts inspires you to conquer your fears and start looking at life in a positive way again.

For years, mental health stigma has led to invalidation and improper treatment of our struggles. Thankfully, we are now taking small steps towards improvement! For me, I’ve found that listening to music is its own version of therapy in the midst of the pandemic. So, if podcasts aren’t your thing, you might want to check out these songs

Between Worlds and Online Classes: Free Apps to Stay Social While Distancing

Do you ever miss the sabog brainstorming and the harutan moments during groupworks? What about those barkada overnights or chikahan sessions with the squad? Those are some of the treasured things that the pandemic has stolen from us. Thankfully, the internet has once again proven itself by providing us with these free apps to satiate our yearnings!

Now, you can virtually discuss your reading materials for online classes then talk about your brain rot over the latest Netflix series!

While we found a way to remain in touch with our classmates and friends,  nothing can replace the friendship hugs, perky high-fives, and the way our clingy friends held on to us. While many of us can adapt to online learning, we cannot deny that not all of us are in the same boat. That’s why we should encourage one another to support our campaign for #LigtasNaBalikEskwela—the call for concrete plans to reopen schools and safely return to face-to-face classes!
