There are many reasons why you should consider New Zealand as your study abroad destination: amazing mountains and hills, diverse culture, lovely Kiwis, flocks of sheep, Lord of the Rings, and chill ambiance.

Aside from these reasons, New Zealand schools also provide the highest educational standards for students. Did you know that there are only eight universities in New Zealand and all of these schools belong in the QS World University Rankings? These universities are research-based and offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. There are also polytechnic schools and private training institutions in New Zealand that offer vocational and alternative study options.

There are a number of requirements you need to prepare if you’re planning to study in New Zealand. You will also need a student visa if you are going to study in the country for more than three months. This visa is granted to students who have already been accepted for a study program approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). The accepting school must also be approved by either NZQA or the Ministry of Education in New Zealand.

Types of New Zealand Student Visas for Filipinos

There are two types of New Zealand student visas for Filipinos that you can apply for: the Fee Paying Student Visa and the Pathway Student Visa.

The Fee Paying Student Visa is for students studying one full-time program and paying full tuition cost at an approved education provider in New Zealand. Meanwhile, the Pathway Student Visa is for those who intend to enroll in three different courses in New Zealand that are accredited as Pathway education providers. Applying for a Pathway student visa also means that you can pay for all of the three different courses that you will enroll.
