Top 10: University of Santo Tomas (UST)
Starting off our countdown with the oldest existing university—not just in the Philippines—but in the whole of Asia! Aside from 400 years worth of rich cultural heritage, UST continues to make history in 2019 as it ran headlines for producing board topnotchers, and achieving the highest number of PAASCU accreditations in the country. All to say quality education is real in this school.

Top 9: Centro Escolar University- Manila (CEU Manila)
All eyes on CEU, students! If you’re an aspiring optometrist, this school got you covered. Established in 1907, CEU has established itself as a powerhouse for disciplines such as Optometry, Business Administration, and Teacher Education. All of which are degree programs recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as Centers of Development (CODs) and Center of Excellence (COE), respectively.

We’re taking our countdown to the Queen City of the South! This year, you’ve been searching about UC Main Campus, too. One of the country’s largest privately-owned universities! We aren’t surprised though since UC has been nailing nursery to post-graduate education since 1964.

Back to the streets of Metro Manila, we’ve got the country’s national university on your most-searched schools! Being one of eight UP constituent universities, UPD serves as the largest campus in terms of student population. There’s enough room for one more iskolar ng bayan! (read: that’s you)
True to its motto “Honor and Excellence,” UP got its highest rating in the prestigious QS World University Rankings. Jumping 28 spots from 384th last year to 356th in 2019!

Top 4: Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU)
From NCAA to UAAP real quick! This year, the Ateneo also made it to your most searched schools. While ADMU is best known for its liberal arts and humanities, it also holds CHED COEs and CODs in various disciplines. Think biology, communication, and information technology! No wonder ADMU took the top spot among PH schools in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020.
Of course, we cannot not mention Ateneo’s #OneBigFight to the UAAP Season 82 championships this year! Congrats to the men’s basketball team, women’s badminton team, and men’s and women’s swimming team.

Landing on the third spot is… UMak, Makati City’s flagship university! What started out as a community college in 1972 grew to a full-fledged university offering SHS, undergraduate, and graduate courses. Did you know UMak was one of the first schools in the country to implement the K-12 curriculum?

Our runner-up for this year’s most searched schools goes to the tamaraws, FEU Manila! This year, FEU is consistently ranked in the top performing schools for licensure exams in Medicine and Medical Technology.
If blood and needles aren’t your thing, it’s okay. FEU Manila also got you covered in Teacher Education and Business Administration! Thanks to its CHED COE and COD accreditations in those disciplines, respectively.

It has also been opening its doors to more students all over the country—starting with a satellite campus in Calamba, Laguna which opened this S.Y. 2018-2019.
