Top Electronics Technician Schools In The Philippines Based On Board Results

Do you want to be an Electronics Technician in the future? In the Philippines, you need to have the following credentials for this profession:

  • Associate degree or technical-vocational certificate in Electronics
  • Completion of at least third-year in the BS Electronics Engineering program related course
  • Certificate of Registration and Professional ID as Electronics Technician (ECT)

Here are the top performing schools in the last three Electronics Technician boards (from 2016 to 2018) in no particular order:

Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta. Mesa

Over the last three years, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) has been one of the leading Electronics Technician schools in the country. In the recent board results from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), PUP garnered a passing percentage of 98.30%.

PUP offers a Diploma in Electronics Communications Engineering Technology (DECET). DECET is a ladderized program leading to BS degrees. In this program, you will also have the chance to earn a TESDA National Certificate.

 

University of Santo Tomas

The University of Santo Tomas has an Electronics Engineering (ECE) Department. Since its establishment in 1960, the ECE Department has produced outstanding performances in board results. The department’s most recent feat includes securing a 98.85% passing rate in the October 2018 Electronics Technician Licensure Exam.

Technological University of the Philippines (TUP)-Visayas

TUP Visayas is one of the leading engineering schools in the Visayas region. The school offers bachelor’s degree programs in:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering

For the past three years, DHTVSU continues to be on PRC’s list of top performing schools in the Electronics Technician Licensure Exams. The school ranked 6th in the October 2018 board with a 91.03% passing rate.

Holy Angel University

Another pride of Pampanga is the Holy Angel University (HAU). The school is a private Roman Catholic university founded in 1933. At present, HAU offers a degree course in BS Electronics Communication Engineering under the School of Engineering and Architecture. In the October 2018 ECT Licensure Examination, Justine Allen Cayanan Arciga from Holy Angel University ranked 1st in the board exam with a rating of 95.00%.

Mapua Institute of Technology

Mapua Institute of Technology is one of the leading universities in the country. The school is known for its architecture and engineering courses. Mapua has a number of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Centers of Excellence and Development for the following programs:
