Life has been moving at a much quicker pace since the introduction of technology. Commuting is now more convenient with ride-sharing apps, meetings are much easier to conduct with online voice and video calls, and content creation is easier with all the available media tools. Learning, especially, has become much easier through the different types of online education in the Philippines.

In fact, education is one of the industries heavily affected by this shift in pace. Many schools are beginning to incorporate blended learning methods into their core teaching practices.

Online education has disrupted traditional learning methods—in a good way! Many people are beginning to adopt the “learn any time, anywhere” mentality. In fact there are now so many different types of online education that anyone can finish their studies from anywhere at their own pace.

Let’s take a look at the types of online education in the Philippines today!

Many Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) providers offer online tutorials to supplement a student’s K-12 education.

On top of this, students can finish senior high school online. AMA University Online Education, for example, offers online programs for HUMSS, ABM, and GAS strands.

A heavy hitter in online education is its undergraduate degree offerings. Some examples of local schools hosting online undergraduate degrees would be the University of The Philippines Open University and AMA University Online Education. You can also check out Coursera, a MOOC provider which has a multitude of undergraduate degrees you can enroll in!

Extending from undergraduate online degrees, post-graduate degrees may also be earned outside the traditional classroom setting.

The University of the Philippines Open University, AMA University Online Education, and Coursera all offer fantastic post-graduate degrees.

If you can’t commit to full online degree courses, you still have a whole sea of choices available to supplement your academic or employment journey. One option is to enroll in an online short course. Such short courses last from 1 to 6 months, and usually provide a certificatea huge advantage when it comes to employment and job-seeking.

Coursera, FutureLearn, and Udemy are some of the bigger MOOC providers that have thousands of different short courses.

If 1 to 6 months may be a bit difficult for you, you could opt to take nano coursesvery short courses that provide quick upskill and knowledge of specific educational topics.

Nano courses can last as short as a few hours, or as long as a few days. If you’re looking for a fast way to enhance your skills, this is the option for you.

With the vast selection of courses online, you will surely be able to find one that suits your needs. Check out the different K-12, Undergraduate Programs, Post-graduate Programs, and Short and Nano Courses available at Edukasyon.ph. Learn anytime, anywhere!
