Renmin University of China

Renmin University of China (RUC) is a state university in Beijing, China. RUC is one of the elite universities in China with a Class A classification under the Double First Class University Plan —as part of the government's plan of producing world-class universities by the year 2050. RUC was founded in 1937 as the Shanbei Public School. After several changes in its name, the school was finally changed to Renmin University of China in 1950, under the “The Resolution on the Establishment of Renmin University of China”. At present, RUC offers a wide range of programs in humanities, social sciences, economics, law and politics, and science and technology. Renmin University of China is one of the leading universities in Asia. It ranked 89th in Times Higher University's Asia University Rankings in 2019. The university is home to around 25,000 students and 3,500 faculty members. Victoria University (VU) is a public educational institution located in Australia . It was founded in 1916 and was initially named as the Footscray Technical School.
