This month, we celebrate partnerships that continue to unlock opportunities and help make the future less scary for young women.

Message from our CEO

Last February 11, we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, something I hold dear to my heart. It reminded me not just of the important role that women and girls play in the fields of STEM -- but also of the critical role that we can play in empowering and equipping them towards their dream course or career.

More than 60% of our Edukasyon.ph web visitors are females between the ages of 16-20. Our commitment to them - and every other student we serve - has never been stronger, especially as they continue to face the challenges of online learning, online job-hunting, and even cultural challenges like gender bias.

This month, we’re proud to highlight our continuing partnerships with Cream Silk and Investing in Women, and invite you to attend our upcoming events to find out more about these campaigns, or how we might be able to do more together for our girls.

Cheers,
Grace

Yaring Pinay: TVET Gender Communication
Toolkit Launch & Workshops

Edukasyon.ph and Investing in Women, an initiative of the Australian government, invite you to the launch of the Yaring Pinay Gender Communication Toolkit for Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions on Thursday March 4, at 2:00 p.m, via Zoom. Participants of the event will include representatives from TESDA, as well as the TVET academe and industry.

The Gender Communication Toolkits are designed to equip TVET educational institutions and employers with gender perspectives to integrate in curriculum development, marketing, placement, recruitment and talent attraction efforts, and align gender principles with organizational culture and practices. The toolkits are a practical guide in understanding how gender norms impact recruitment and occupational segregation in TVET schools and companies manifested through corporate communication strategies, materials and language.

To receive a full copy of the Gender Communication Toolkit, please sign up for one of the workshops below. We recommend staff from your Academic, Careers, HR Marketing or Communications department to attend a workshop. An attendance to the workshop is a requirement prior to receiving the toolkit to help maximize your learning. See you there!
