Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI), a PCNC accreditted Foundation, is the social responsibility arm of the PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies administering poverty-alleviation measures to underserved and disadvantaged individuals and sectors nationwide.

Dr. Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of the PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies established the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc., originally PJ Lhuillier Foundation, Inc., on December 28, 2000 as a non-stock, non-profit charitable organization. 

Since its incorporation, CLFI has undertaken numerous projects under five key programs:  (1) Nationwide Scholarship Program which now has around 300 scholarship slots nationwide and has so far produced close to 800 graduates, 219 with honors; (2) Nationwide Nutrition Program (giving daily food and vitamins to over 4,000 pre-schoolers in 80 day care centers nationwide) and  Medical Mission for their entire families (up to school year 2012-13 in partnership with United Laboratories, Inc.); (3) Outreach Program consisting of regular outreach to PGH Cancer Institute, Golden Acres Home for the Aged and Reception and Study Center for Children, and relief operations for victims of national calamities, in partnership with Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Star Operation Damayan, Alagang Kapatid Foundation, ABS-CBN Foundation, GMA Kapuso Foundation and Gawad Kalinga; (4) Cultural and Spiritual Enhancement Program supporting the UP Singing Ambassadors’ international tours and competitions and assistance to religious institutions; and (5) Special Projects such as the 3-year Create-a-Business Contests, in partnership with UP College of Business Administration, Ang Galing Mo, Bata! ICT Education Program in San Manuel High School, Tarlac City, assistance to the youth programs of the Young Journalists Association of Mandaluyong, grant of Perpetual Trust Fund to Madre de Amor Hospice Foundation in Los Baños, Laguna, and various donations to individuals and other institutions in need. 

With present mandate to focus on Education, CLFI now pursues its new Vision and Mission: “B PALS and B BEST” (acronym for Best Partner in Alternative Learning and Scholarship and Best Builder of Employees’ Spiritual Tower). Thus, CLFI now focuses on the following major programs: (1) Alternative Learning; (2) Scholarship; and (3) Spiritual and Social Enhancement.

For Alternative Learning, CLFI is providing funds for the purchase of teaching equipment and the reproduction of learning modules and materials for Cebuana Lhuillier ALS Community Learning Centers (CL ALS CLCs) nationwide, in partnership with DepEd (who provides the teachers) and the communities (who provides the venues) bringing basic alternative education to the out-of-school youth and adults of the covered communities. As of May 2019, CLFI has successfully established 81 CL ALS CLCs nationwide.

For Scholarship, CLFI continues to implement and even expand its Scholarship Programs with close to 300 scholarship slots nationwide.  CLFI has so far produced close to 800 graduates, 219 with honors (1 Summa Cum Laude, 34 Magna Cum Laudes, 98 Cum Laudes, 2 Valedictorians, and 84 with special awardees).

For Spiritual and Social Enhancement, CLFI is building a strong platform to enhance the moral and spiritual values of the employees of the Cebuana Lhuillier network through the conduct of monthly Spiritual Sessions and annual Visita Iglesia in order to ensure, not only the best services to the needy clients or customers, but also the employees’ effective pursuit of the ultimate purpose in life. In 2016, CLFI added Create Responsive Infants By Sharing, Philippines (CRIBS) at Marikina in its annual outreach projects.

For our advocacies on Disaster Resiliency, CLFI has launched OurHelp.org and Cebuana Lhuillier National Volunteer Corps (Team RAPIDO).

OurHelp.org is a donation site launched by Cebuana Lhuillier in line with the commitment to make insurance available to all as a means of promoting preparedness and resilience in various local communities nationwide. With OurHelp.org, donors can choose to insure individuals who do not have access to or the means to avail of microinsurance coverage.

Cebuana Lhuillier is ready to serve the community in times of any calamity disaster thru its Cebuana RAPIDO National Volunteer Corps. Cebuana RAPIDO, an employee - volunteer group, is comprised of 4 teams, namely: Donation, Rehabilitation, Response, and Counseling.
