About the Scholarship

The Family Alumni Bursary provides international students who previously had, or currently have a parent, brother or sister studying at the University of Tasmania, with a 10% registered tuition fee reduction for the duration of the course.

The bursary is available for the Foundation Studies Program, undergraduate (excl Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and postgraduate coursework degrees (some exclusions apply).

Students must submit a Family Alumni Bursary Application to be assessed for this discount. Students must also attach the following certified documents together with their application to demonstrate eligibility for the Family Alumni Bursary:
  • Sibling's Birth certificate (Original and English translation)
  • Passport (bio-data) page for Applicant
  • Passport (bio-data) page for Parent
  • Student ID cards or evidence of enrolment
  • Adoption Evidence (only required if applicable)
Students must provide the application and supporting documentation before census date otherwise the Family Alumni Bursary cannot be processed until the following semester.
