About the Scholarship

The Visayan Electric Company Scholarship Grant provides educational assistance to poor and deserving dependents of VECO customer from Liloan city in northern Cebu to San Fernando city in southern Cebu who live within its franchise area to apply for a scholarship in high school and college level. The scholarship program is intended for the students who are taking up an engineering course in universities designated by VECO.

Minimum Qualifications

Strictly for Filipinos only
Open to incoming college students only
Grade Requirement: At least 88%

High School Level

dependent of a VECO customer
with a general average of at least 88%
one of the graduating class' top five
willing to enroll in a public high school

College Level

dependent of a VECO Customer
with a general average of at least 88%
willing to take up Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BS-EE)
one of the graduating class' top five
willing to enroll in our list of eligible universities (CIT-U, USC, and USJ-R)
