Aldersgate College, Inc. is a private educational institution in
Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. It was founded in 1965 by Mrs. Pilar Galima and Mr. Froilan Calata, who were Methodist lay leaders. The school was
named after the street in London where the founder of Methodism, John Wesley, had his realization about Salvation. The school founders wanted the institution to also be a medium of moral and spiritual enlightenment for students. Initially, Aldersgate College offered Secretarial, Liberal Arts, and Education courses and had laboratory schools in the elementary and secondary levels. At the same time, the school was supervised under the
Northern Philippines Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Currently, Aldersgate offers both basic and higher education programs. Its basic education department includes a Senior High School (SHS) program with available strands under the
Academic and the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. For college-level students, the institution has seven departments offering courses in the areas of:
Liberal Arts, Teacher Education, Business and Accountancy, Criminology, Engineering and Technology, Hospitality Management, Information Technology, and
Allied Health Sciences. For those who want to pursue further studies after getting their bachelor's degree, Aldersgate has
graduate programs in Education, Business Administration, and Public Administration. Additionally, the school is recognized by
TESDA to offer
TVET courses such as Housekeeping and Food and Beverage Services.
