Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) is
a public institution located in
Naga City, Camarines Sur. It was established in 1911
originally known as
Camarines Sur Trade School (CSTS). In 1952, the school was
nationalized and renamed as
Camarines Sur National School of Arts and Trades (CSNSAT). It became a college in 1967 by virtue of
Republic Act No. 5056 then was renamed again as
Bicol College of Arts and Trades (BCAT). Thirty three years later,
BCAT was
integrated with
Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC). Eventually in
2012,
they formally separated from CSPC and became known as
Bicol State College of Appplied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST). In the last 108 years, BISCAST has been honing the youth to become productive citizens and community leaders.
