Bohol Island State University – Calape (BISU - Calape) is a public university located in
Calape, Bohol, and is one of the campuses part of the
Bohol Island State University (BISU) system. The campus started out as a community college and was eventually converted into a polytechnic college in 1989 by the virtue of
Republic Act 7370.
The Calape campus houses eight (8) academic degree programs that are composed of undergraduate and technical-vocational courses. Its undergraduate programs include bachelor's degrees in
Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and
Industrial Technology, which all have
Level II AACCUP accreditation. While other programs include degrees in
Fisheries, and
Computer Science, which
have
Level I accreditation.
The Calape campus is also offering
TESDA-registered programs which all have National Certificates. It includes technical-vocational courses in
Health Care Services and
Caregiving which both have
NC II.
