Bridgeport International Academy and Bridgeport Hope Schools are family-oriented, caring and learning environments located on Long Island Sound in the Seacoast Town of Bridgeport, Connecticut. We are about an hour north of New York City and a couple of hours south of Boston. Between the two schools we have approximately 120 students, roughly 1/2 in each school. Currently we have international students from several Asian nations as well as Latin American nations and a few other nations as well.
For the high school, we have a dorm in our building and house 20 to 25 students at a time. Our costs include room and board (breakfast is served in the dorm, lunch and dinner are taken daily at the University of Bridgeport Marina Cafeteria), airport transfers, weekend activities and much more.
The dorm students are supervised 24/7 and the residential life coordinator couple lives on the same floor with the students. A team of residential life advisors, made up of recent BIA graduates who are attending the University of Bridgeport, live together with the students. We have a great system - sort of one big happy family. Dorm life and school life are seamlessly combined as the residential life coordinators are also teachers in the school.
