Cagayan State University – Carig (CSU - Carig) is a satellite campus of the Cagayan State University (CSU) system. Located in Tuguegarao City, the 19.8 hectare site was formerly known as the Cagayan Valley College of Arts and Trades. After then-President Ferdinand Marcos signed the Charter of Cagayan State University (P.D. No 1436) in 1978, the institution was merged with other existing higher education institutions which have since become the different campuses of the CSU system.
The Carig campus houses seven different colleges, including the College of Medicine. Twenty-four of their curricular programs have earned recognition from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). Six of these programs have already reached Level III, Phase 1 status, namely: BS Agricultural Engineering, BS Civil Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Industrial Technology, AB Public Administration, and AB Mass Communication. In 2014, the Carig campus also submitted 11 programs to the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) for the Institutional Sustainability Assessment – which is the most ever submitted by a CSU campus.Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan
