The
Camarines Norte State College was established in 1992 by virtue of the
Republic Act No. 7352, turning the Camarines Norte National High School into a state college. The act was made in order to incorporate and to also promote research and instruction of specific fields from four other institutions in Camarines Norte. These institutions were the
Abaño Pilot Elementary School, the Mercedes School of Fisheries, the National Agricultural School in Labo, and
the Camarines Norte School of Arts and Trades. These schools were eventually renamed and became satellite campuses of CNSC.
The
College of Engineering and Industrial Technology is the CNSC campus in
Jose Panganiban and was formerly the
Camarines Norte School of Arts and Trade (CNSAT). It offers
Bachelor's Degrees in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Aside from these undergraduate courses, also available are
TESDA courses in
Computer Hardware Servicing, Consumer Electronics Servicing, and
Programming.
