Camarines Sur National High School (Cam High) is the oldest and one of the biggest public secondary school located in
Camarines Sur. It was established on
January 21, 1901, by the virtue of
Act. No. 74 of the Philippine Commission under the American occupation. Thomasites were the first teachers of 70 students headed by Mr. Frank Crone when it was launched on
July 15, 1902, as the
Provincial High School of Nueva Caceres. The school was converted into national high school on
June 29, 1969, by the virtue of
Republic Act 5529 approved by the late President Ferdinand Marcos.
Presently, Cam High offers Basic Education Program, Special Program for Sports, Special Program For Arts, Science, Technology and Engineering, Special Program for Foreign Language, Special Technical Vocational Education Program and Family Farm Curriculum for their students. The school caters senior high education with the strands in
ABM,
HUMSS, and
GAS under the
Academic Track as well as
Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) track,
Arts and Design track, and
Sport track. It is under the resolution ordered by the Department of Education (
DepEd).
