Capiz State University – Burias (CAPSU - Burias) is a public university in
Mambusao, Capiz established in 1980. The university is part of the
Capiz State University system and is the only campus that has the
largest portion of land (150.9823) for agricultural production. Moreover, the campus is known for its
Coco Seednut production which is considered as the primary source of their income. Aside from that, the plantation is also used by the campus for its research and development programs. Further, The campus also invests in rice production and, part of their planning is their investment in poultry and other livestock production.
Like its sister campuses, CAPSU - Burias offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, ranging from
Agriculture to
Commerce. Some of its bachelor degree programs include;
Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Education, Business Management, and
Public Administration. It is also
K-12 ready and currently provides senior high school (SHS) strands under the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) as well as an
Academic Track. More so, the campus also has an extension program which is known as the
Community Development Extension Project (CDEP), which aims to help its locals in terms of livelihood and training.
