Caraga State University - Cabadbaran (CarSU - Cabadbaran) is a satellite campus of the
Caraga State University which is both located in the province of
Agusan del Norte. The campus was formerly known as
Northern Mindanao College of Arts, Science and Technology (NMCAST) and was established in 1953 by the passing of the Republic Act No. 948.
It was in 2009 when the campuses of
Northern Mindanao State Institute of Science and Technology in Butuan City and
Northern Mindanao College of Arts, Science, and Technology in Cabadbaran were fused in order to establish the Caraga State University, being the Butuan City branch as the university's main campus.
The Cabadbaran campus is composed of four (4) colleges and one (1) laboratory high school with nine (9) undergraduate programs consisting of courses in
Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial and Teachers Education, Tourism, Hospitality Management, and General Education. Also offered is a two (2) year diploma course in
Computer Technology.
