General Requirements:
  • Applicant for admission to the doctoral program must be a holder of master's degree from any recognized institution.
  • Applicant for admission to the master's degree program must be a holder of bachelor's degree or its academic equivalent from any recognized institution.
     
Entrance Exam Requirements:
 
  • Transfer Credential (Photocopy)
  • Photocopy of Transcript of Records
  • 2x2 ID Picture

Enrollment Requirements:
 
  • Transfer Credential (Original)
  • Transcript of Records (Photocopy)
  • NSO Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
  • 2x2 ID Picture
  • Marriage Contract (for married female applicant)

Undergraduate

Requirements

General Requirements:
  1. Applicant for admission for the college degree program, secondary and elementary level must be a secondary school graduate, elementary school graduate, and a preparatory school graduate, respectively, from any recognized institution.
     
  2. An applicant seeking admission shall take and pass both the written entrance examination and personal interview.
     
  3. Admission of the students shall be decided upon by the dean/head of the college/ department concerned.
     
  4. Admission of transferees and returnees shall be decided upon by the dean/ head of the college concerned, provided that they shall meet the admission requirements prescribed by the College.
     
The applicant must submit to the college/department concerned the following minimum requirements:
 
  • Duly accomplished application form;
  • For incoming freshmen students/high school graduates: copy of the Report Card
  • Tertiary students from other schools: transfer credential signed by the school registrar
  • Certificate of good moral character
  • Official receipt for payment of Testing Fee
  • Certified photocopy of birth certificate (preferably NSO copy)
  • Medical and dental certificate
  • Two pieces 1x1 ID pictures, and
  • Three pieces 2x2 ID pictures

 
Note: All submitted documents shall become the property of CHMSC; hence these are not to be returned to the students.

Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) was founded in 1983. The school was named in honor of Negros Occidental Representative Carlos A. Hilado. CHMSC, formerly known as Paglaum State College, was the result of the merge between the Negros Occidental College of Arts and Trades (NOCAT), the Bacolod City National Trade School (BCNTS) and Negros Occidental Provincial Community College (NOPCC). Carlos Hilado Memorial State College has four campuses in the province--- Talisay (main), Alijis, Fortune Town, and Binalbagan.

CHMSC offers degrees in Social Science, Education, Industrial Technology,  Criminology, Fisheries, Civil Engineering, and Information Systems. All of these programs are recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd). In addition to tertiary level programs, CHMSC also has a DepEd-approved K-12 basic education program that caters the youth of Negros Occidental and its nearby areas.
