Central Philippines State University (CPSU), dubbed as the
first agricultural Institution in the country, was founded by Professor Jose F. Crisanto. It was established immediately after the Second World War. The main campus is located in
Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental and has nine other campuses located in the cities of
Victorias, Ilog, Candoni, Hinobaan, Hinigaran, Cauayan, Moises Padilla, San Carlos, and Sipalay, which are all located in the province.
CPSU Main offers undergraduate programs in
Engineering, Education, Sugar Technology, English, Social Science, Applied Statistics, Criminology, Agriculture, Animal Science, Forestry, Hotel and Restaurant Management, and
Information Technology. It also offers master degree programs in
Education, Public Administration, Agriculture, Animal Science, and
Information Technology. PhD's in
Educational Management and
Education are also offered in CPSU.
