City of Malabon University (CMU) is a public, co-educational university established on July 29, 1993 as the Malabon Community College with the purpose of providing affordable quality education for the youth of Malabon City. By June 1994, classes in the community college officially started. In 2002, the college’s name was changed to Malabon City College through City Ordinance No. 05. The Malabon City College officially acquired the status of University in 2003.
CMU offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees in Teacher Education, Business, Administration, Engineering, IT, Computer Science & Programming, and Social Science. In addition to higher education courses, CMU also has senior high school programs, offering Academic strands in ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management) and HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences).
True to its purpose, the City of Malabon University is dedicated to developing community members who can contribute to the social and economic growth of the city and of the nation.
