College of the Immaculate Conception (CIC) is a private, Catholic school in
Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. It started out in 1926 as the San Nicholas Catholic School founded by Rev. Ruperto T. Rosario, the then parish priest of Cabanatuan City. The school earned its college status in 1962 and was renamed College of the Immaculate Conception; and, it was the first Catholic college in Nueva Ecija. Throughout the years of its operation, the school underwent several changes with its programs, with its name, and with its administrators; a couple of religious groups helped in managing the school, namely the Reverend Sisters of Paul de Chatres and the Sisters of the Franciscan Congregation of the Immaculate Conception (CFIC),
At present, the school provides basic education and higher education programs. Its basic education department includes a Senior High School program—with the
Academic and the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks—and a Special Education (SPED) program. For college-level students, CIC offers courses in
Accountancy, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Nursing, Information Technology, Social Science, and
Teacher Education. The college also has a
Graduate School unit with graduate programs in Education and in Business Administration and a doctorate program in Educational Management. Additionally, the institution has an
Adult Lifelong Learning program that provides technical and vocational courses.
