Cristal e-College - Tagbilaran (CEC - Tagbilaran) is an institution of higher learning founded in 2002 as a franchise school under the Informatics Computer Institute. The school was formerly known as the Cristal Computer Institute Inc., until it was elevated into a college by receiving its collegiate status in 2003. In its humble beginnings, courses in Computer Science and Information Technology are initially offered, and classes were held at the Cristal Towers Building.
The college was able to expand its reach in the province as it successfully established its
satellite campus at the island of
Panglao, Bohol. This expansion led to the opening of new academic programs and better school facilities as it tried to accommodate the increasing number of student enrollees.
At present, the Tagbilaran campus still offers computer-related programs. Both of which are their pioneer programs in
Computer Science and
Information Technology. In addition to these tertiary programs are TESDA-recognized courses in
Computer Hardware Servicing and Computer Programming, Animation, Bookkeeping, etc. And in both campuses, a strong
'Placement Program' is implemented in order to assure that their students will be able to land a job after its graduation.
