Discover the inner workings of business management. In Industrial Relations you’ll study the relationship between management and labour and how it is shaped and influenced by government institutions, employers, employees and the unions. In Human Resource Management you’ll learn how to develop techniques and programs to engage a highly committed and capable workforce to operate in the global business world. You’ll learn about the complexity of organisational relationships and develop the skills you need to analyse situations, facilitate interaction and negotiate joint action within.

During your first year of the Bachelor of Commerce you’ll complete common core units which will provide an introduction to the various aspects of business. You do not need to make a final decision on a single or combined major until your second semester.

High achieving students may complete an additional honours year enabling them to undertake their own significant research project.
