This major must be completed as part of a double major with corporate information management. It is offered as part of the Bachelor of Arts.

Combined, the corporate information management and librarianship majors lead to a professionally recognised qualification in librarianship, archives and records management.

In an age when skilled information use is crucial to the success of business, government, and individuals there is great demand for graduates who can manage information at an advanced level.

This double major program teaches you to locate, evaluate and manage any information in any organisation – print, online, documents, records, social media, research data or corporate knowledge.

Through a combination of hands-on industry experience, practical project work and critical thinking within a professional theoretical framework, you will learn to evaluate client information needs and will offer future employers an expert level of information literacy.

*Please note that offshore international students enrolling in this course can only study it fully online. This course is not available to onshore international students.

High achieving students may complete an additional honours year enabling them to undertake their own significant research project.
