The Master of Teaching is divided into the following three majors:

  • Early Childhood Education: designed for those who wish to teach in kindergarten to year 2, or work with children from birth to eight years of age in early childhood education and care.
  • Primary Education: designed for those who wish to teach in year 1 to 6, and gain a foundation for teaching across the primary school curriculum.
  • Secondary Education: designed for those who wish to teach year 7 to 12.
The new Master of Teaching is designed for people seeking to attain an initial teacher education qualification in order to register as a teacher in Australia and any other countries that recognise an Australian teaching qualification. The course may also be suitable for qualified teachers wishing to gain an additional formal qualification (if needed) to convert to either Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary Education.
