Davao City National High School (DCNHS), formerly known as Davao Provincial High School, is a public secondary educational institution established in
1922. The school is considered as one of the premier schools in the Davao Region (Region XI).
The DCNHS campus is located in Florentino Torres Street, Davao City. It currently houses 36 buildings including mini-gardens, an auditorium and learning centers. Also present in the site is the Heroes Tree Park and a shrine for national hero Jose Rizal.
Davao City National High School provides a secondary education program that is recognized by the Department of Education (
DepEd). Its
senior high school (SHS) program, in particular, offers
academic track strands such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (
STEM), Humanities and Social Sciences (
HUMSS) and Accountancy, Business, and Management (
ABM). Other tracks offered in the school are
Arts and Design and
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL). TVL Specializations available include
Animation (NC II),
Cookery (NC II),
Electrical Installation and Maintenance (NC II), and
Hairdressing (NC II). Another special offering of DCNHS is the Modified Work Study Program ideal for working individuals who intend to pursue their education.
