Architecture is the art, science and profession of planning, designing and constructing buildings in their totality, taking into account the environment in accordance with the principle of utility, strength and beauty.
The focus of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program is on the architectural theory, architectural design, urban and regional design, building methodology and structural design. Courses generally cover topics like environmental design, architectural documentation, universal design for the disabled, and protection of heritage structures.
Students receive instruction in the use of drafting tools and computer aided drafting. The programs combine classroom and design studio work and exposure in the field and actual construction site.
