The Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Open University (DMMMSU - OUS) is a distance learning education system part of the DMMMSU. The system was established in 1996 through the concerted effort of the university and the local government unit of La Union. It was an initiative brought upon by the mission to bring higher education to the remote areas of the province. 

In its current curriculum, certificate to post-graduate programs are being offered. Its undergraduate degree programs include courses in Elementary Education, Business Administration, and Agriculture. While its graduate and post-graduate programs include degrees in Development Administration and Science Education. Certificate and short training courses are also available in this campus.
