Eastern Quezon College (EQC) is a private school in
Gumaca, Quezon. It opened in 1947 with a high school program and an elementary course for college students. It was founded by
Dr. Vicente R. Vilar, who was an educator, a socio-economic leader, and a business executive in Quezon. Eventually, with an increase in interested enrollees, the school opened more educational programs, like preschool and elementary. In 2011, EQC had a partnership with
Marinduque State College (MSC) and since then served as an extension campus for the graduate programs of MSC.
At present, the college offers undergraduate degree courses in
Business Administration, Elementary and Secondary Education, and History. Through the MSC Graduate Extension Program, Eastern Quezon College has available
master's degree programs in Education and Public Administration. With the implementation of the K-12 program, EQC opened a Senior High School (SHS) department in 2015. Currently, the SHS department offers
ABM, HUMSS, GAS, IA, ICT, and
HE.
