Established in 1975, the
Eastern Visayas State University - Burauen (EVSU - Burauen) is a state university campus part of the province-wide university system of
EVSU. In its humble beginnings, the institution went through a series of changing their school name until it became the Burauen Polytechnic College in 1995. Then, it was eventually absorbed by the Leyte Institute of Technology following its conversion to Eastern Visayas State University in 2004.
The Buruaen campus excels in providing quality academic instruction in the fields of
Agriculture and
Management. Students can choose various options on what program to pursue as the campus offers bachelor's degrees in
Secondary Education, Agriculture, Tourism Management, and
Information Technology among others.
