Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary (EBCS) is an educational institution in
Zamboanga City. It is the
first and largest academic institution of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines (CAMACOP). EBCS can be traced to the Ebenezer Schools, two Christian day schools established separately in 1903 and in 1920. These schools began offering theological training in 1926; and, in 1928, the
Ebenezer Institute was born upon the merging of the Ebenezer school for Girls and for Boys. In 1959, the institute opened degree programs in Theology and Christian Education; and, only after a few years, the school was granted its college status, thus being renamed Ebenezer Bible College.
The school currently offers undergraduate courses in
English, Elementary Education, and
Theology. Also available are
two-year Certificate courses in Christian Life and in Christian Ministry. EBCS also provides the K-12 extended basic education program and has a Senior High School department with the
Academic and the
Arts and Design tracks.
