VISION
The Department of Communication envisions a cosmopolitan society through the development of media and communication environment that is:

  • inclusive and respectful of differences;

  • critical and empowering;
  • socially and morally responsible.
MISSION
  1. Develop Communication prime-movers, leaders, managers, and practitioners who exhibit the FEU core values of fortitude, excellence, and uprightness;
  2. Produce scholarly researches and creative works that are critical, ethical and socially relevant;
  3. Build sustainable partnerships that promote media and information literacy, local cultures in a global milieu, advocacy programs that safeguard media freedom and responsibility;
  4. Provide platforms that discuss issues, trends, and solutions to problems pertinent to the interplay of media, communication, society, and culture.
Department of Communication’s Program Learning Outcomes 
  1. Design and produce informative and creative multimedia outputs in advertising, broadcast communication, cinema, journalism, public relations, and new media;
  2. Enhance collaborative and people skills as integral component of project conceptualization and execution;
  3. Plan, organize, and mount an event or media production;
  4. Enhance presentation skills and professional presence that will be useful in various communication transactions and contexts;
  5. Design, manage, and evaluate communication campaigns
  6. Raise the level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills through learning strategies that are discursive and through the conduct of studies on the interplay of media, communication, society, and culture;
  7. Practice a sense of community and social responsibility through projects that create awareness on socio-cultural, political, economic, and environmental problems;
  8. Contribute to the preservation and transformation of Filipino culture that is rooted in respect for diversity and active social engagement;
  9. Analyze more comprehensively the dynamics in media business in local, national, and global contexts as a tool to understand and address media production issues;
