Far Eastern University (FEU) was established in 1928 by Dr. Nicanor Reyes, Sr. as the Institute of Accountancy. The Institute began to branch out to other fields of study like economics, business administration, and banking and finance. A year after its establishment, it became the Institute of Accounts, Business, and Finance (IABF). In 1933, IABF partnered with then Far Eastern College which offered courses in the liberal arts, giving birth to FEU.

FEU was granted an Autonomous status in 2016 which allowed them to open new campuses. This gave way to the establishment of FEU - Makati. The campus in Makati offers Law, Accountancy, Business, and Information Technology. FEU Makati aims to continue the tradition of FEU Manila's history of excellence in Accounting and Business Education.
