Garcia College of Technology (GCT) is a private educational institution in
Kalibo, Aklan. It was founded in 1968 by
Don Florencio M. Garcia and Doña Enrica Reyes Garcia. The school was established to provide educational opportunities to the youth of Aklan and other provinces in Western Visayas and later on to produce professionals in the field of technology.
GCT is known for its
Business and
Engineering programs. GCT also offers degree programs in the fields of
Information Technology and
Hospitality Management. In addition to undergraduate courses, the school currently caters to high school students; its Senior High School (SHS) department offers the
Academic Track, particularly the
STEM, HUMSS, and
ABM strands.
Garcia College of Technology is recognized by the
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the
Department of Education (DepEd). Additionally, it is a member of the Philippine Association of Private Schools, Colleges, and Universities
(PAPSCU).
