General de Jesus College (GJC), formerly General de Jesus Academy, is a private non-sectarian school in
San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. It was founded in 1946 as a secondary school by San Isidro natives Teofilo Abello, Soledad Medina, Paz Policarpio-Mendez, Francisco Narciso, and Ricardo Odulio. It was named after
General Simeon de Jesus who was a graduate of the Philippine Constabulary Academy (presently known as Philippine Military Academy) and who fought the Japanese during World War II. The school's college department opened in 1978 with an initial course offering in the Liberal Arts; it was in 1997 when the academy earned its college status and became the General de Jesus College.
GJC offers both basic and higher education programs for Novo Ecijanos. Its Senior High School department has the
Academic track available, namely the
STEM, ABM, and
HUMSS strands. Its college department, on the other hand, offers degree courses in
Teacher Education, Accountancy, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, and
Information Technology.
