Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) is a multi-campus institution in
Ilocos Sur mandated to provide professional and technical training in both undergraduate and graduate levels. It envisions to be a vibrant and nurturing polytechnic service college for transforming lives and communities by improving the lives of people and communities through quality instruction, innovations, and research.
ISPSC has
six (6) campuses in its system. Its main campus is located in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur while five of the other campuses are situated in
Candon City and within the municipalities of
Narvacan,
Santiago,
Cervantes, and
Tagudin.
Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College - Sta. Maria started out as a farm school in 1913 and later became the Santa Maria Agricultural High School. By 1963, it was converted into the Ilocos Sur Agricultural College through RA 3529. Now as part of the ISPSC system, the school offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs for the citizens of Ilocos Sur and its neighboring areas. Courses in the fields of
Education, Information Technology, Agriculture, Development Communication, and
Hospitality Management are readily available to students who want to pursue their education in the institution. The state college also offers certificate courses as well as a senior high school program with
Academic and
Tech-Voc strands.
