Indiana Aerospace University (IAU) is a private higher educational institution in
Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. It was established in 1992 as the
Indiana School of Aeronautics. That time, ISA was only one of the two institutions in Lapu-Lapu specializing in airline courses. Three years later, new buildings were constructed for the elementary and high school departments as these programs were given government recognition. With more students coming in to enroll in its programs, the school moved into a new
15-hectare campus in 2000, the same year it became a university.
Currently, the university caters to students from the preschool to the college level. The IAU Basic Education Department has programs for Senior High School (SHS) students, specifically the
Academic and the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. For the college department, interested students can enroll in, not only degree programs in
Aeronautics and Aviation, but also in
Teacher Education and
Hotel, Tourism, and Travel Management. Additionally, IAU offers an
MA in Education (MAEd) and a
Master in Education (MEd) for those who want to pursue graduate studies. Other programs available in the university are
Pilot and Flight short courses and a
Diploma in Professional Education.
