John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) is a private institution founded by Captain Juan Bautista Lacson in 1931 as a review school for seafarers who will be taking licensure examination. As the number of enrollees increased, the Iloilo Maritime Academy was established. At present, JBLFMU has three campuses all over Iloilo City and Bacolod City.

JBLFMU is the first maritime school located in the Visayas and Mindanao areas. It is the maritime school's mission to impart quality education and technical training that can help in producing world-class and highly competent seafarers.

The maritime school's undergraduate program includes the following courses: Marine Transportation, Marine Engineering, Business Administration, Customs Administration, Cruise Ship Management, Information Technology, Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Tourism Management.
