La Consolacion College (LCC) Bacolod is a private, Catholic school in
Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. It was established in 1919 by
Augustinian sisters and initially held classes at the Bishop's Palace. The school provided grade school and high school until it opened a Teacher's Certificate program in 1938. A few years after the Second World War, the Boy's High School was established, and eventually, male students were also admitted to the college department of LCC. In 1964, the BS Architecture program was given its government recognition, and the college was the only one in Western Visayas to offer such a program.
At present, LCC Bacolod caters to students from the preschool level to the graduate level. Its Senior High School (SHS) department provides the
Academic, Arts and Design, and
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. The college department has degree courses in
Liberal Arts, Natural Science, Teacher Education, Architecture, Fine Arts, Interior Design, Business and Management, and
Information Technology. College graduates who wish to pursue further studies can take up choose from a variety of master's and doctorate degrees offered in the institution's
School of Graduate Studies.
