What does Lipa City Colleges stand for?

Lipa City Colleges (LCC) is a private educational institution in Batangas. It was established as the Lipa Business Insitute in 1947 and had 65 secondary students in its first year. The number of student enrollees increased the following school year; at the same time, the institute opened collegiate programs, like Liberal Arts, Junior Normal Education, Commerce, and Secretarial Course. From B. Morada Avenue, the school was later relocated to G.A. Solis Street, a larger space to cater to more students of the elementary, high school, and college levels. After three years of this relocation, the Lipa Business Institute was renamed to Lipa City Colleges.

The school offers the complete basic education curriculum in its academic unit named LCC Silvercrest. LCC Silvercrest has a Senior High School (SHS) program with available strands under the Academic and the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. For college students, LCC has eight college units: Hospitality Management, Business Education and Accountancy, Education, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, Nursing, and Criminology. Additionally, the institution has a Graduate School department with degree programs in Business Administration, Public Administration, and Education.

Since its establishment, the Lipa City Colleges has been one of the leading institutions in the region. Aside from having official recognition from the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), several programs of the college have accreditations from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). LCC is committed to producing competent graduates through a technology-inclined experiential. Over the years, it developed modern learning facilities and equipment like an audio-visual room, auditorium, business simulation room, computer laboratory, and mock hotel that can compete with the demands of today’s global industry.
