Mapandi Memorial College (MMC) is a private school in
Marawi City, Lanao del Sur. It was founded in 1973 as the Clinical Mapandi at Raya Saduc. Soon after, it was relocated to Lilod Saduc and was renamed
Mapandi Memorial Hospital. The
Memorial Hospital School of Midwifery was founded later in order to provide health-related educational programs in the city; the school of midwifery pushed for the health consciousness of Maranao women, empowering them to take up allied health as a vocation and profession. In 1984, the
Mapandi Memorial Medical and Educational Center (MMEC), Inc. was established and catered to female high school and college students; eventually, MMEC, together with the school of midwifery, became Mapandi Memorial College.
At present, the school provides basic education and higher education programs. The
basic education department is now open to both male and female students. The department also includes a
Senior High School (SHS) unit, with the
GAS, HUMSS, and
TVL strands made available. The college department, on the other hand, is only open to female students and has five units—
Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Technology, Education, and
Management Accounting.
