Marikina Science High School (MariSci) is a public science high school located in
Sta. Elena, Marikina City. The school provides quality, fair, culture-based and complete basic education to produce graduates who are intellectually and technologically competent.
MariSci founded on
July 18, 1947, by the Father of secondary education in Marikina,
Gil Fernando. The school has undergone changing its name from Marikina Junior High School in 1947 to Leonardo Victorino Memorial High School in 1952, Marikina School of Arts and Trades in 1957, and Marikina Institute of Science and Technology in 1978 until the secondary level was separated from MIST and became an independent high school on
November 8, 2001.
MariSci uses a
Special Science Curriculum to junior and senior high school. It has a
STEM strand under the
Academic track for its senior high school program.
