Maryhill College (MC) is a Catholic school in
Lucena City. It was founded in 1938 as the Lucena Catholic School through the initiatives of the then Archbishop Alfredo Versoza, D.D., Fr. Ulric Arcand, and Don Daniel Marquez. The school, offering elementary and secondary programs, was also supervised by the
Maryknoll Sisters; thus, the Catholic school was later renamed
Maryknoll Academy. By 1973, the school administration was already composed of lay ministers; three years later, the institution was renamed
Maryhill Academy. The academy earned its college status when it opened its college department in 1996, thus becoming Maryhill College.
