We accept students with a diverse range of entry qualifications and from varying backgrounds. The following qualifications are normally considered for admission into the International Foundation Programme:

• UAE national General Secondary School Certificate: minimum grade of 60% overall OR
• American High School: Successful completion of the high school diploma with overall grade “C” or equivalent OR
• Pakistani Intermediate Level National curriculum (Part 1 & 2): completion of FSC/HSC with minimum grade of 60% or equivalent OR
• Iranian secondary school: completion of High School Diploma with minimum grade of 12 out of 20 OR
• Nigerian Senior School Leaving Certificate: minimum overall grade of “C6” in 5 academic subjects. Students are required to print out the official results from the NECO website at www.neconigeria.org OR
• International Baccalaureate: successful completion of an IB Certificate may be considered for entry to the International Foundation Programme.
• National curriculum of the countries of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan: completion of High School Certificate (Attestat).
• West African GCE: completion of A-Levels with minimum average grades of “C6” in 5 academic subjects. Students need to print out the official results from the WAEC website at www.waecdirect.org OR

Academic Requirements – Postgraduate

We accept students with a diverse range of entry qualifications and from varying backgrounds. Specific academic and work experience requirements exist for each of our postgraduates programmes as shown in the table below:

MBA (Master of Business Administration)
Normally a second class UK honours degree or above, or an equivalent qualification and a minimum of 3 years professional full-time work experience. Candidates may be eligible without an honours degree if they can demonstrate a significantly successful managerial experience**.

MA Human Resource Management
Normally a second class UK honours degree or above, or an overseas equivalent qualification. Applicants without a degree who have practical experience in personnel work will also be considered, but you will need to demonstrate your ability on the basis on courses already attended, references supplied, a 2,000-word essay and an interview.

MA Marketing Communications
Normally a second class UK honours degree or above, or overseas equivalent qualification. Applicants without a degree who have minimum 3 years managerial experience in sales or marketing will also be considered.

MSc Applied Psychology
We welcome applications from graduates with a good honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in an appropriate subject. We also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications and individuals with a minimum of three years’ work experience.

MSc Computer Network Management
A second class honours degree (UK) or an equivalent overseas qualification in computer science or networks, or in a field that provided significant exposure to IT, for example, management, business, mathematics, science or engineering. We also accept applicants with degrees in other fields who can demonstrate relevant industrial experience combined with extensive IT background.

MSc Project Management
Applicants will be expected to have a good honours degree (2nd class Honours or above) or equivalent in an engineering based discipline. Graduates from other related disciplines may also be admitted to the programme after interview. Preference will be given to graduates with industrial experience. In addition candidates will have such qualities as being creative, proactive and having a desire to engage with the curriculum, and be able to think as an individual but able to work in a team. Candidates should be able to show a keen interest in engineering in all its aspects.

MA International Relations
We welcome applications from graduates with a good honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in an appropriate subject. We also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications and individuals with a minimum of three years’ work experience. Those without formal qualifications need to demonstrate relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level.

** Managerial experience implies managerial responsibility for people and/or functions and/or technical expertise, e.g. accountancy.

IELTS - Academic
 

• Minimum requirement of IELTS in our IFP programme: Overall 5.5 with at-least 5.0 in each component

• Minimum requirement of IELTS in our UG programme: Overall 6.0 with at-least 5.5 in each component.

• Minimum requirement of IELTS in our PG programme: Overall 6.5 with at-least 6.0 in each component.

PTE

Minimum requirement of PTE in our IFP and UG programmes : Overall score of 51 with minimum score of 51 in each component of an Academic PTE result / Level 3 score for a General PTE.

• Minimum requirement of PTE in our PG programmes: Overall score of 58 with minimum score of 51 in each component of an Academic PTE result / Level 4 score for a General PTE.
• Minimum requirement of PTE in our IFP and UG programmes : Overall score of 51 with minimum score of 51 in each component of an Academic PTE result / Level 3 score for a General PTE.
• Minimum requirement of PTE in our PG programmes: Overall score of 58 with minimum score of 51 in each component of an Academic PTE result / Level 4 score for a General PTE.

TOEFL

Minimum score required for IFP : 65

• Minimum score required for Undergraduate : 72 (with at least 17 in listening & writing, 20 in speaking and 18 in reading)
• Minimum score required for Post-Graduate : 87 (with at least 21 in listening & writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading)
