Mindanao State University - Naawan (MSU - Naawan) is a state-run university campus located in the municipality of Naawan in Misamis Oriental. The institution was originally founded as a field laboratory of the MSU College of Fisheries until it became an autonomous unit of the current
Mindanao State University. Such incredible transition was made possible by the steadfast commitment of Dean D.K. Villaluz and its research initiatives in the field of Fisheries that made a significant impact on the aquaculture industry of the province.
Presently, the Naawan campus is composed of four colleges and two schools. These academic units provide degree programs ranging from diploma to post-graduate degrees in the fields of
Education, Agriculture, Science, Business, and
of course,
Fisheries. The Naawan campus also has graduate and post-graduate degree programs in
Sustainable Development Studies which are both unique in the campus.
