This course will provide veterinarians with knowledge and expertise in epidemiology, and in particular, skills in disease surveillance and monitoring and risk assessment. You will develop the skills necessary for effective disease surveillance and implementation of disease control strategies. The degree will provide instruction on the diagnosis, detection and control of new, emerging and re-emerging diseases.
This degree will enhance employment opportunities for veterinarians working in Australia and overseas by allowing specialisation in the latest methods to develop and evaluate disease control programs in production animals.
