Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College - Barotac Viejo (NIPSC - Barotac Viejo) is a government-owned satellite campus situated in Iloilo. The campus came into existence by the passing of Republic Act 6747, signed by then President Aquino in 1989. The said law converted the Barotac Viejo National Agricultural College into a polytechnic college which which was eventually integrated into
Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College system, which makes the campus the first to be external campus of the college.
The Barotac Viejo campus hasseven (7) academic programs in the fiels of
Teacher Education, Agriculture, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and
Computer Studies. Its undergraduate programs include bachelor degrees in
Elementary Education, Secondary Education,
Agriculture, Agricultural Technology, and
Hotel and Restaurant Management. Further, the campus has a couple of diploma and associate degree programs offering in
Agricultural Technology and
Computer Technology. Significantly, these courses are duly recognized ad accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
